The story
01Chapter
The origin
I first proposed a built-in waitlist plugin to Better Auth, the TypeScript authentication framework, in pull request #3400. That work now ships as my own package, better-waitlist.
02Chapter
The design
The plugin turns sign-ups into a managed waitlist: verification emails, queue positions, referral links, and one-line admin invites. It is fully typed, so it reads like a built-in feature.
03Chapter
The build
I am its author. It is written in TypeScript, published on npm under the MIT license, and still in active development.
